Cycling Through the Dolomites

From Cortina d’Ampezzo to Calalzo di Cadore

The ‘Long Way of the Dolomites‘ is one of the most thrilling cycling routes in the entire Alpine arc. You ride through breathtaking scenery and landscapes, surrounded by some of the peaks recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.

The path follows the route of the old railway, built during the First World War and decommissioned in 1962. It features consistent and easily manageable slopes. Along the way, you’ll encounter natural beauty and architectural gems, riding through woods, lakes, bridges, tunnels, and past old train stations—some of which have been restored and turned into refreshment spots.

The Long Way of the Dolomites is a route suitable for everyone, making it an ideal outing for families with children.

In the summer, a bus service with bicycle transport is available.
